World No. 1 Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz took his country to the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup teams by beating South Korean footballer Kwon Soon-woo 6-4, 7-6 in Valencia.

After an unexpected 1-2 loss to Canada on Friday, where Alcaraz lost to Felix Auger-Aliassime, Spain took on South Korea to end their singles matches 2-0.

Spain topped their group against Canada, the guarantor of their qualification, and advanced to the quarter-finals to be held in November at home in Malaga. How did Serbia get out of the group stage?

In Hamburg, Germany topped Group C by beating Australia 2-1, knowing both teams had secured their place in the quarter-finals.

In Bologna, in Group A, Croatia booked their place in the quarter-finals, taking advantage of Italy’s 2-1 victory over Sweden.

Croatia finished second in the group behind leader Italy, while Sweden was third.

The Netherlands and USA from Group D also secured their way to the final rounds.

The first and second places in the groups will qualify for the play-offs (quarter, semi-final and final), which will be held in Malaga, Spain, from 22 to 27 November.

In the quarter-finals, the champion of the first group plays the runner-up in the fourth, the champion of the second against the runner-up of the first, the champion of the third against the runner-up of the second, and the champion of the fourth against the runner-up of the third.
