Barcelona are considering reinstating the services of Argentine star Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain next summer after his contract with PSG expires.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are tasked with repairing the relationship between Messi and President Joan Laporta after a dispute that occurred last year.
The newspaper indicated that Barca could convince Messi to return by offering him to organize a big honor for his career at Barça, as well as becoming an ambassador for the Catalan club.
Barcelona are demanding that Messi agree to take a pay cut to return to the club and also agree to play a minor role in the team depending on the manager’s decisions.
The Catalan club needs to cut their salary list to over 200 million euros next season if they want to reinstate Messi and give him a bigger salary, in addition to the presence of Robert Lewandowski, where he is expected to return to play in the center of the right flank or midfield.
