Bjorn Nielsen has announced the retirement of his 8 year old Stradivarius horse after a long career filled with many memorable achievements.
Nielsen noted that the decision to stop the legend’s march on the tracks came after he suffered a foot injury last month.
He added that although Stradivari returned to his stable form, it took him longer to overcome the injury, so he felt it was unfair to bring him back to racing next season at the age of nine.
Stradivarius, one of the most famous racehorses in Britain and Ireland, started his career in 2016, during which he achieved a large number of victories and records, most notably winning the Goodwood Cup four times in a row in the years (2017 – 2018). – 2019 – 2020), and three times Ascot Gold Cup winner.
In 2018 – 2019 – 2020, in addition to winning the Best Endurance and Long Distance Horse award 3 times at the Cartier European Racing Awards in 2018 – 2019 – 2020.
