Scientists from Lobachevsky University of Russia created a calculator to assess the age of psyche and presented it on the official website of the university. Anyone can estimate their mental age using a computer.
University scientists created this calculator as part of the “Digital Medicine for Healthy Aging” project, which began in 2017.
It should be noted that the term “knowledge” relates to everything related to perception and thinking. Problems with memory, thinking, and concentration often accompany biological aging. But sometimes it precedes, and sometimes does not correspond to the orthodontic age of the person.
The calculator uses a specially designed artificial intelligence system to assess mental age. And the use of a special method to check each indicator to reduce the number of possible errors.
When using this machine, a person must pass three simple tests – solving an easy arithmetic problem, determining the correct shape of the letters, and recognizing the color shades. As a result, the machine assesses a person’s cognitive age with an accuracy of 8-10 years.
The researchers emphasize that the result of cognitive age is not a reason for medical examination, but only for the purpose of determining cognitive age.
It should be noted that the overall goal of the “Digital Medicine for Healthy Aging” project is to explore new medical strategies to achieve healthy aging, increase the life expectancy of the population and thus improve the quality of life. .
