Android users may be tempted to move their iPhones thanks to the new WhatsApp feature that will come out soon.
Apple has announced the launch of a major update to WhatsApp that has been requested by many Android users. The big change will allow Google-powered device users to switch to Apple without losing the endless chats or media stored on the popular messaging service.
Until now, this was not possible because all data was lost when switching between Android and iOS. According to Apple, this update is one of the most demanded features from Android lovers and will finally convince some to give up their current device for the iPhone.
The simple transition was made possible by changes made to the “Move to Android” app, available in the Google Play Store. This app seamlessly transfers data, apps, photos and files between the two platforms, and WhatsApp will be included in this transfer in the coming days.
Currently, this new feature is undergoing beta testing, but WhatsApp has confirmed that it is expected to be fully launched soon.
Apple has announced one of the biggest updates ever to the iOS operating system, which includes a fully customized and fully customizable lock screen. This means users can automatically change colors, patterns and even background images throughout the day.
There’s even an option to add weather and activity widgets, as well as see live data like football scores without unlocking the device.
