Summer starts this Tuesday with forecasts of very cloudy skies, rain in some regions of the country and temperatures that range between 16 and 25 degrees Celsius, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
The summer solstice begins at 10:14 a.m. on Tuesday (Lisbon time), according to the Lisbon Astronomical Observatory.
The IPMA forecasts for this first day of summer are periods of cloudy sky, showers in the North and Center and Alto Alentejo regions and light to moderate winds from the western quadrant, sometimes blowing strongly in the highlands.
The minimum temperatures on the continent will range between 7 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 14 (in Aveiro and Faro) and the maximum between 16 (in Guarda) and 25 degrees (in Faro).
Summer will end on September 23, with fall arriving at 2:04 am.
