Egyptian mummy head secret revealed at British doctor’s home

Scientists have examined the head of an ancient Egyptian mummy found in the attic of a doctor’s house in Kent, England.

The Daily Mail reported that this head was found while cleaning the house after the owner’s death.

According to the newspaper, the CT scan results showed that this skull belonged to a woman who lived about 2,000 years ago. His teeth are ragged, probably because he was on a coarse grain diet, as grain was the staple food of the ancient Egyptians.

Tomography also showed the absence of the brain, and this was one of the main operations in the mummification of the dead in ancient Egypt. But the language is in good condition and in place. A tube has also been found in the left nostril and spinal canal, although it cannot be determined whether it dates back to ancient Egypt.

The researchers did not specify how this head ended up in the doctor’s home in Britain. But they assume it was brought from Egypt in the 19th century and passed down as a family heirloom.

This hypothesis is related to the phenomenon of “nights of conquest” common in the Victorian era (the reign of Queen Victoria) when visitors watched the process of exhuming mummified corpses.
