French automaker Renault revealed on Friday that it posted a loss of 1.67 billion euros in the first half of this year, compared to a profit of 368 million euros in the same period last year.
The automobile group also mentioned, quoted by the financial agency Bloomberg, that with the closure of operations in Russia, one of the largest markets outside of France, it had charges of 2,217 million eurosand that this was taken into account in the statement of financial results for the first half of this year.
In terms of global revenue, these reaches 21,120 million euroswhich represented a year-on-year drop of 9.6%, and this figure was in line with the average forecast of the analysts consulted by Bloomberg (21,130 million euros).
However the Renault highlighted that the operating profit was 939 million euros64% more year after year.
The operating margin, for its part, was 4.7%, which compares with 2.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The car manufacturer confirmed the negative impact of the semiconductor crisis that will have affected 300,000 vehicles in 2022.
