Skoda Vision 7S. SUV brings new style and 600 km of autonomy

Skoda is preparing to take a step forward in its strategy. The Czech brand evolves its stylistic language, replacing it with a more modern and up-to-date one, which is justified at a time when an even stronger commitment to electric mobility is coming. And to materialize this new image, nothing better than revealing a prototype to go into series production in 2026assuming himself as a Top-of-the-range SUV, with large exterior and interior dimensions, which combines a very generous range.

Named Skoda Vision 7S, it becomes clear that one of the greatest assets of the new SUV is its passenger compartment. Nothing in common with current models, with a more minimalist dashboard, but without looking “poor”, using a large 14.6″ vertical central screen (which can also be moved horizontally) and, above all, space for seven passengers , including the driver. The prototype presents a distribution of seats in the three rows 2 + 3 + 2, but the central space of the second row is reserved for a baby seat, installed facing the rear, as we had already anticipated here.

Despite using the MEB platform, the same one used in its only electric model, the Enyaq iV, the larger dimensions of the Vision 7S make it possible to install a package of batteries with a capacity of 89 kWh, instead of the current 82 kWh. and this is package somewhat more generous which, according to the Czech manufacturer, allows it to advertise a autonomy “more than 600 km”that will certainly please potential customers.

In addition to a larger battery, the Vision 7S has seen its recharging power increased, to reduce the time of energy storage to continue the trip. Instead of the 135 kW of power that the Enyaq iV accepts, the Vision 7S prototype promises 200 kWhwhich suggests new, more efficient cells, capable of coping with higher temperatures, or taking advantage of more efficient cooling systems.
