And the Iranian news agency indicated that the two ministers exchanged “views on the most important issues of concern to the two countries, as well as on the latest developments in the negotiations to lift the embargo.” She explained that Abdullahyan “informed his Emirati counterpart of the latest developments regarding the negotiations to lift the embargo and emphasized that Iran has shown goodwill and seriousness in reaching a lasting and stable agreement, and that his colleagues have worked carefully and quickly to study the text and prepare an answer.”
He stressed that the foreign policy of his government is based on the “priority of relations with neighbors.” He expressed satisfaction with the development of growing relations between the two countries, calling for some consular issues related to Iranians in the UAE to be resolved, “including Iranian schools in this country.”
