The earthquake occurred less than an hour after a nationwide seismic drill was carried out with the aim of identifying and analyzing risks and vulnerabilities, as well as contributing to a culture of protection in the event of an earthquake, says CNN, explaining that the date was chosen because it is the anniversary of two major earthquakes that shook Mexico City in 1985 and 2017.
