The Consumer Protection Agency in Egypt has announced an immediate recall campaign to check and replace the airbag detonator in some car models.
The government campaign claimed several “Seat Leon” and “Seat Altea” models produced in 2010-2011-2012.
The Consumer Protection Agency said in a statement that the recall campaign was carried out to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the airbag system, and the Consumer Protection Agency’s concern for the safety and security of consumers, always as a measure to caution.
Previously, the Head of the Consumer Protection Department, Eng. Ayman Hossam El-Din said that approximately 95% of citizens’ complaints about car reservations have been resolved.
Hossam El-Din, in his phone call to the Last Söz program presented by Lamis El-Hadidi media broadcast on ONTV, added that 120 complaints remain about car reservations, and that the device has resolved 3 thousand 450 complaints.
The head of the Consumer Protection Agency noted that those who have reservations at some car dealerships have been given instructions in relation to the car delivery delay crisis, to adjust the booking process for all goods since November 2021, and to obligate the provider.
