Flooded roads, cars practically submerged and train stations closed. As happened last Wednesday, several regions of the Lisbon area were again flooded, due to the rains that fell in the early hours of this Tuesday. Civil Protection registered on 250 occurrencesmainly related to floods, in the Lisbon district.
In Algés, the situation is particularly critical with several videos and photographs showing a scenario of flooded streets. The center of the city of Oeiras was even “impassable”.

In various parts of Lisbon, the situation was also and will be “chaotic” in the next few hours, acknowledged the mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, in statements to Rádio Observador.

During the early morning, 22 people were rescued in Alcântara, one of whom even had to be taken to the hospital. The landscape is of paths practically submerged by water.
