According to The Wall Street Journal, “The YouTube platform has started testing a new free feature for watching TV channels, and this feature is currently being tested by some users in the United States.”
Some websites have reported that YouTube has made agreements with many TV channels and as a result of these agreements, these channels will be shown to YouTube users for free, but the site will receive of 45% of the advertising revenue to be broadcast. those channels
A YouTube spokesperson told the Wall Street Journal that if the new feature is successfully tested, it will be widely rolled out to users this year.
It should be noted that “YouTube” currently offers a paid YouTube TV service that allows its users to watch popular TV channels live, and approximately 5 million people currently use this service.
