Doing justice to the importance of Asia-Pacific countries in Lamborghini sales, with an emphasis on China, the transalpine manufacturer chose the Shanghai Auto Show as the second place where it exhibited its latest creation, including the the first in which the public was allowed to get up close and personal with the Revuelto, its new 1015 hp supercar.

The general director of the transalpine manufacturer, Stephan Winkelmann, stressed that “the Chinese market has registered strong growth over the years and will continue to play a strategic role in the future”, with the promise of the brand to “continue investing in the dealer network” to be closer to local customers. Winkelmann also highlighted the excellent moment of the brand he manages, which “in 2022 presented the best performance in terms of deliveries, billing and profitability.”

Commemorating its 60th anniversary and committed to continue implementing the strategy Address Cor TauriAutomobili Lamborghini is in a process in which it intends to invest 1,900 million euros in the next five yearsmoney destined to make the brand more sustainable, reducing the carbon footprint and harmful emissions. And the Revuelto, as the company’s first model built in series and equipped with plug-in hybrid mechanics, kicks off the new strategy.
Initially known as LB744, the Revuelto identifies a reputable bull, as is traditional in Lamborghini models, although it also means “scrambled eggs” in Spanish. It mounts a deeply revised and improved version of the naturally aspirated 6.5 V12, which here reaches 825 CV. Associated with the gasoline engine there are three 150 hp electric motors (but only 18.5 kg), one connected directly to the combustion engine, placed between it and the gearbox -which is new and has a double clutch and eight gears-, on the other two to be installed on the front axle, connected to each of the wheels, to ensure torque vectoring. The three electric motors increase the total power and allow the Revuelto to travel a certain distance in 100% electric mode, if the battery with only 3.8 kWh and rechargeable at 7 kW is at its maximum.
