Ukraine secretly bought 20 Valuk light armored vehicles from Slovenia.
These armored vehicles are designed to carry infantry, and the Slovenian newspaper 24ur said that these armored vehicles are ready to participate in the expected Ukrainian counteroffensive.
The newspaper said, “Our sources confirm that the process of delivering the Slovenian armored vehicles in great secrecy has been completed. It was pointed out that the process took several months, and that the transport of armored vehicles required preparation, maintenance and organization.”
Valuk armored personnel carriers were transported by aircraft to a logistics center in Poland, from where they were transferred to the territory of Ukraine under the control of Kiev.
It is worth noting that the Valuk is an improved version of the Austrian Pandur I armored vehicle, equipped with a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher or a 12.7 mm machine gun, and accommodates 6 personnel in the vehicle. Operating range is 700 km on asphalt roads and 300 km on non-road areas.
It is worth noting that the media reported earlier that Slovenia delivered a batch of M-55S tanks to Ukraine, and that the Ukrainians are developing protective devices by installing elements of dynamic armor.
