Eight districts of mainland Portugal are under a yellow warning this Tuesday due to the forecast of rain, which at times can be intense, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
the districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro and Braga will be under yellow notice until 9:00 a.m. this Tuesdaywhile Guarda, Santarém, Castelo Branco and Portalegre until 12 noon this Tuesday.
The yellow warning, the least serious on a scale of three, is issued whenever a risk situation occurs for certain activities depending on the weather situation.
IPMA predicts for this Tuesday generally very cloudy skies, periods of rain or showerswhich can sometimes be strong well into the morning, sometimes strong wind in the highlands, small drop in maximum temperature in the north and fog or mist at the end of the day.
Minimum temperatures will range between 11 degrees Celsius (in Guarda and Bragança) and 17 (in Aveiro, Coimbra, Lisbon and Faro) and maximum temperatures between 13 (in Guarda) and 23 (in Évora, Setúbal and Santarém).
