On Monday, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski reacted to the 78,000 pounds of baby food being shipped from Europe to Indiana to help with a nationwide famine.
According to Brian Deese, director of the White House National Economic Council, the supply reached only 15% of the required quantity.
Stating that the Biden administration was “bragging” about the delivery, Brzezinski said it was “not something to be proud of” because it was “not enough”.
“While the president is traveling abroad, here in the United States, his administration is working on a baby food shortage,” Brzezinski said. “Thousands of pounds of infant formula from Europe are now being shipped to hospitals and medical facilities after a shipment arrived in Indiana yesterday. The military aircraft was carrying Nestle formula for children with milk allergies. The USDA says this is enough to feed 9,000 babies and 18,000 toddlers in one week. So they brag about it? Because it’s nothing to brag about. This is bad news.”
“[T]A hat is not enough,” he added. “Not close. We know that three months ago this factory, which was the only factory in the United States to have a de facto monopoly, was closed. And we have enough for a week for 27,000 kids, babies.
