Sane Gov. Stacey Abrams (D-GA) said she wanted a pay increase for police officers as she now sits on the board of an organization that wants police paid and fired.

The hackers at Axios are trying to dispel the fact that Governor Abrams himself is on the board of an activist organization that is actively trying to remove police funding:
This week, Kemp’s campaign ran an ad accusing Abrams of supporting the “defend the police” movement on a previous TV show and criticized her position on the board of the Marguerite Casey Foundation, whose social media posts contained rhetoric.
Speaking to Axios, who accused Kemp of “gaining information”, Abrams said I never supported, never said, and never supported getting the police paid. He stressed that as a board member he has no control over foundation donations.

He may not have “control over foundation donations,” but he can control which boards he wants to join and what the board of directors of that activist organization wants. get the police and get up.
As Pajamas Media points out, the Marguerite Casey Foundation’s stance on cutting and eliminating police money isn’t tactful:
Abrams’ presence on the foundation’s board of directors demonstrates that he supports the vision the foundation advocates, including both ending funding and eliminating the police force.
But Abrams is speaking the other way around, promising to increase the military and other police forces in Georgia as well as deprive the law-abiding Georgian people of their Second Amendment rights.
This is what happens when you 1) become a darling of the media and 2) an arrogant politician living in a bubble with the same corporate media. Abrams thought he could escape, but he couldn’t. No one trusts corporate media anymore and corporate media no longer controls the information bottleneck.
All Axios is doing here is allowing Abrams to be a complete idiot to him.
