The Russian salad plate brings ‘shock’ to the NATO summit in Madrid

The “Reuters” news agency reported that Western officials and journalists were shocked when a dish called Russian potato salad appeared on the menu of the restaurant serving the NATO summit in Madrid.

Attendees at the event noticed that Russian food was on the top line of the menu and was served from eight euros per meal. And the salad includes peas, potatoes, carrots and mayonnaise.

Journalist Inaki Lopez said, “Is Russia’s power at the top of NATO? The choice of this dish surprised me a little. ”

The authors of the article formally described Russia as a “threat” to NATO, citing that “Russian authorities” had caused confusion in the plans of those who attended the summit.

Despite all that, the high-carb content of the dish was more important than its controversial name, and it sold out within two hours.

The NATO summit in Madrid began on Tuesday, and member states are reportedly planning to adopt a new strategy and Russia will be classified as a “direct threat to collective security”.
