The US Embassy in Kyiv confirmed that “the Ukrainian army has begun using American howitzers, which brings Ukraine’s Victory Day closer.”

It is noteworthy that the Pentagon and European countries, including Germany, transferred howitzers to Ukraine as part of various shipments of weapons that it supplied to Ukraine in order to increase its military power in the war with Russia.

The M198 155mm howitzer supplied to Ukrainian forces is a mobile field artillery piece that is easily towed and towed. Recently, there has been an increase in demand for these guns mounted on mobile trucks instead of traditional artillery systems that rely on tracked chassis, as they are less expensive to manufacture, in addition to their ability to perform the same tasks.

Every day around the clock, US weapons and ammunition are delivered to Ukraine, including anti-tank and anti-aircraft missile systems, helicopters, drones, grenade launchers, millions of rounds and millions of rounds for them.

In addition to providing weapons, Washington is making strenuous efforts to support the Ukrainian side with intelligence and financial support, while avoiding the appearance of a direct confrontation with Russia.
