Regarding the Palestinian issue, the king referred to his constant conversations with American presidents and his assurances that ignoring the Middle East “will bring you great dangers if you are not careful” and therefore the Palestinian issue must be resolved. He explained that there was no alternative to resolving the Palestinian issue, saying: “Whatever the relationship between the Arab countries and Israel, if the Palestinian issue is not resolved, it is from our point of view as a person who takes two steps forward and two steps back.”

Asked about the relationship between the United Arab Emirates and the United States, he called for “the importance of understanding the nature of the relationship between the two countries and not boxing it” and stated that “the UAE has spent decades side by side with the United States, a wealthy country with huge potential, and has investments all over the world.”

In response to a question about how to deal with Iran, he pointed to the efforts of some Arab countries to communicate with Tehran, saying: “Of course we want everyone to be part of a new start for the Middle East and move forward, but we have security issues”.

The king pointed out that “the Russian presence in southern Syria has been a source of calm,” noting that “this vacuum will now be filled by the Iranians and their proxies, and, unfortunately, there is the possibility of an escalation of problems on our borders. “
