The Al Jazeera news network has decided to refer the criminal case of the murder of a colleague Sherin Abu Akla to the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.

Palestinian Attorney General Akram Al-Khatib announced today during a press conference detailing the Palestinian Prosecutor’s Office report on the murder of journalist Shirin Abu Akle that “the investigation has proven that an Israeli soldier shot Shirin Abu Akle. and hit her in the head when she tried to escape. The public prosecutor confirmed that “the investigation proved that the characteristics of the bullet that hit Abu Akila was from an Israeli sniper weapon and from the location of Israeli forces”, stressing that “the totality of the facts shows the presence of elements of the premeditated murder of Shirin and the attempted murder of her colleague Ali Al-Samoudi.
