Abu Hasan al-Kureshi, leader of the Islamic State since the death, at the end of February of this year, of the former head of the terrorist group, was arrested last week in the Turkish capital, in a special secret operation carried out by the Intelligence Services and Istanbul Anti-Terrorist Division.
The news is advanced this Thursday by the Turkish news site Odan TV, which explains that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will soon communicate more details about the operation, in which not a single bullet was fired.
According to the website, after the Turkish police received information that Abu Hasan al-Kureshi was in the Turkish capital, a surveillance operation led by Istanbul Police Chief Zafer Aktaş was mounted, which lasted for several days, culminating in finally with the arrest of the alleged terrorist. .
Since then, Abu Hasan al-Kureshi has been questioned by experts from both the Turkish Anti-Terrorism Division and the Turkish National Intelligence Division. He will have revealed “very important information” about the organization.
