The Hespress website reported that next Wednesday Spain intends to publish a database, documents and photographs of more than 15,000 Spanish soldiers who died in the Rif War in Morocco between 1893 and 1927. It was reported that this database would be exposed at the Vicente Alexandre Cultural Center in Málaga, of which 374 are of those listed, in addition to 8,500 of those listed as missing.
The database also includes documents, photographs, documents and personal files of Spanish leaders and soldiers, including 450 original photographs, 5800 death certificates from the civil registry of occupied Melilla, a burial record of the deceased in the Purisima-Concepción cemetery in Melilla, and 7900 records of financial assistance and pensions for the relatives of the fallen Spaniards, already published in the official newspapers. The database is expected to be made available free of charge and the Municipality of Aljurín de la Torre will distribute copies of it in 16 gigabytes of electronic memory to participants at the opening of the presentation.
