It has been 95 days since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24. The focus of the Russian attack is now on Severodonetskin the oblast of Lugansk, although the city has not yet been surrounded, according to the daily report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), group of experts based in the United States.
Russia is making some territorial gains and could even succeed in Severodonetsk, ISW analysts say. “Ukrainian military faces the most serious challenge since the isolation of the Azovstal factory in Mariupol, and could suffer a significant tactical defeat in the coming days if Severodonetsk falls, although such an outcome is not certain.”
