North Korea reported more than 96,000 new cases of fever on Thursday, with the daily number dropping below 100,000 for the third consecutive day.
According to the North’s official Korean Central News Agency, based on data from Emergency Epidemic Prevention Headquarters, more than 96,610 people showed signs of fever as of 6 pm 24 hours the previous day. No further information on further deaths was provided.
The total number of fever cases since the end of April exceeded 3.83 million at 6 pm Wednesday, with more than 3.66 million people cured and at least 165,390 people cured.
The number of daily cases of fever in the country is dropping after climbing to 392,920 on May 15. The daily number has remained below 100,000 since Monday, after recording more than 100,710 on Sunday.
On May 12, North Korea announced its first case of COVID-19 after claiming no coronavirus for more than two years.
