The populist Sweden Democrats (SD) have called for the repatriation of Syrians, Afghans and Somalis, citing unemployment rates and the large number of undocumented people.
Party leader Jimmy Åkesson and immigration policy spokesman Ludwig Aspling said the Swedish government must do more to repatriate immigrants if they can’t count on state aid and be included.
“Since 2010 Sweden has granted more than 1.2 million residence permits, equivalent to more than the new Stockholm. The couple wrote in a newspaper article that unemployment among foreign-born is almost five times higher than among natives. Aftonbladet.
The couple added that among Syrians, Afghans and Somalis, half of adults earn less than SEK 100,000 (£8,189/10,235) per year, with a total of no more than 600,000 supported among foreign residents.

“Back-migration is not a miracle solution, but the failures of recent decades show that it should be an option – a solution for anyone living in long-term separation,” they said, noting that Sweden has subsidies for those who want to return to their home country. Native countries are rarely used.
Incentive structures and social security systems must be reformed so that isolated people cannot rely on social security, are forced to live in the community or are encouraged to move,” they wrote.
Åkesson and Aspling also referred to Denmark’s approach to the repatriation of migrants, citing Danish government minister Mattias Tesfaye, who had previously stated that Denmark’s aim was not to accept anyone seeking asylum.
The concept of immigration was also used by former French presidential candidate Eric Zemmour in his election campaign earlier this year. Populist stated that he wanted to establish a new ministry especially to solve this problem.
Zemmour offered to send at least one million immigrants to their country within five years. A poll published at the end of March showed that nearly two-thirds of French support the widespread immigration of illegal immigrants, foreigners on terrorist watch lists, and foreign criminals.
66% of the French population told pollsters that the mass “migration” of illegal aliens, alien criminals and aliens on terror watch lists like the S-File is a target they would support https://t.co /BC0Dq1I8uA
