Two people were shot to death and at least 13 were injured in a shooting Saturday night in Philadelphia, authorities said.
The Philadelphia Police Department responded to reports of an armed person in a large crowd, WPVI-TV reported.
An agent arrived at the scene and saw a man shooting into the crowd in the center of the city. The officer shot the attacker, police said. It is unclear if the suspect was hit.
The condition of the injured is unknown and no officers were injured, it added.
Authorities said they had not made any arrests, but did recover a gun.
In a message posted on the social network Twitter, the police asked to avoid the area and that several people were injured.
No additional information was immediately available.
