The incident took place in western Berlin, near the Christmas market where in December 2019 a truck driven by a Tunisian asylum seeker in the country with links to the Islamic State ran over dozens of people and killed 11.
In the accident area, next to the Emperor William Memorial Church, whose tower was bombed during World War II, there is a large ambulance and fire department, reports Reuters.
