The sound of four explosions was heard in the early hours of Sunday morning in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
The blasts occurred in an apartment complex near the center of Kyiv, causing a fire and the release of a large cloud of gray smoke.

And according to AFP, no information is available on the possible victims.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko told the Telegram application that several explosions took place in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Shevchenkivsky district of Kyiv.
“Ambulance crews and rescuers have been dispatched to the scene, and more detailed information will be available later,” Klitschko added.
Russia on Saturday revealed the death toll of Ukrainian troops and foreign fighters fighting alongside Kyiv.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement that up to 80 Polish mercenaries, 20 armored combat vehicles and eight Grad multiple rocket launchers had been killed in high-precision attacks on the Zinc Megatics plant in Konstantinovka in the Donetsk region.
According to AFP, the statement said that Poles were killed in the bombing of eastern Ukraine, where fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces is taking place.
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov was quoted by Russian media as saying that more than 300 Ukrainian soldiers and foreign mercenaries had been destroyed, as well as the destruction of 35 heavy weapons units in the Nikolaev region in one day.
Konashenkov noted that the Russian air force, artillery and missiles yesterday targeted the focal points of Ukrainian forces and military equipment in 284 areas, and destroyed two ammunition depots, missile weapons and artillery in the Bugansk region.
As a result of the attacks, according to Konashenkov, “more than 780 Ukrainian nationalists, eight tanks and other armored vehicles were killed.”
According to a Russian Defense Ministry statement, Russian air defense systems destroyed 21 Ukrainian marches in various parts of Bogansk, Kharkov and Kherson provinces.
