The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reported that “about 347 children have been killed and 648 injured since the beginning of the massive Russian invasion of Ukraine.”

And the New Voice of Ukraine website, citing the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office, stated that these figures are “not final”, and it is likely that “the number of victims will increase.”

In mid-April, the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office reported that “205 children have been killed in shelling by the Russian army since February 24.”

The prosecutor’s office said in a statement that “an additional 362 children were injured as a result of Russian attacks.” She pointed out that “Russian bombings caused damage to more than a thousand educational institutions, 95 of which were completely destroyed.”

On February 24, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, followed by international rejection and harsh economic sanctions against Moscow, ending its operation with Kyiv abandoning plans to join the military formations and maintaining neutrality, which the latter considers “interference with its sovereignty.”
