Spanish sports newspaper Marca has revealed a new surprise in the crisis that led to the separation of Barcelona defender Gerard Pique from Colombian singer Shakira.
They announced their split two weeks ago after a relationship that lasted more than 11 years and resulted in two children, following claims that Pique had an affair with another woman.
However, Marca reported that Pique has ended his relationship with his new girlfriend, who he is said to have recently engaged to.
The source said the Barcelona player is currently looking to reach an agreement with Shakira to establish a common ground that will determine the shape of their relationship going forward, especially regarding the future of their two children.
The main dispute between Pique and Shakira is currently over accommodation, as the former wants his ex-girlfriend and their two children to stay in Barcelona, while the singer plans to move to the US with his two sons.
Weeks ago, Pique was photographed with another woman believed to be his new girlfriend at a party in Stockholm.
Pique and Shakira’s relationship was one of the most famous relationships that brought together sports and art stars around the world and the news of their separation caused a huge shock among celebrities.
