Two sources close to the military department and the Russian military-industrial complex told the Russian news agency TASS that “a new ballistic missile of the Zmivik aircraft carrier killer type with hypersonic combat equipment is being developed for the Navy.”

Russia has state-of-the-art hypersonic missile systems, including the Kinzhal, Zirkon, and Avengard systems.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday that “the Russian army fired precision-guided missiles at a temporary Ukrainian army position in the Donetsk People’s Republic, resulting in the deaths of more than 300 national extremists,” noting that “Russian forces fired long-range missiles at Kalibr precision-guided munitions depots in Dnipropetrovsk region, as a result of which HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, M777 howitzer and Pion self-propelled guns were destroyed.
