The Angolan maritime authorities have expanded the search perimeter to locate the boat, with five fishermen on board, which has disappeared in the Namibe Sea since June 21, the Civil Protection and Fire Service reported Monday.
According to the spokesman for Civil Protection and Firefighters, Firefighters Mayor Félix Domingos, the requests continue. all efforts to locate the artisanal vesselwhich went to sea three weeks ago in the Angolan province of Namibe, with five fishermen on board.
Félix Domingos admitted the possibility of finding the missing persons alive and stressed that the force of the sea could have displaced the fishermen to a territory where there is no possibility of communication.
“Right now, we are increasing the search perimeter so that we can see any signs that lead us to find these sailors,” the spokesman for Civil Protection and Firefighters told Rádio Nacional de Angola.
Forces from the Angolan Navy, the Namibe Port Captaincy and the Civil Protection and Fire Service are participating in the search operation.
