Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said that “US President Joe Biden’s visit to the region will only serve Israel’s interests in the region at the expense of the Palestinian cause.”

Kasem believed: “The visit is aimed at strengthening divisions in the region and forming new alliances to defend the Zionist project and its expansionist policies, and it is aimed at the manpower in the country.”

He pointed out that “all previous visits by US presidents to the region have put the interests of the occupation as the main goal and tried to gloss over their hostile behavior towards the Palestinian people through meetings with the leaders of the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah.”

He believed that “talk of expanding normalization in the region with Biden’s visit and the formation of military alliances, of which the occupation is a part, poses a strategic danger to the Palestinian cause and the national interests of the entire region.”

Kasem called for “unifying the positions of countries, entities and parties that reject Zionist and American policies, as well as strengthening and developing relations between the resistance forces in the country.”
