The head of the Iranian Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, Kamal Kharazi, indicated that “we welcome Saudi Arabia’s statements of extending the hand of friendship and are ready for dialogue and the restoration of normal relations with it,” noting that “Iran and Saudi Arabia are two important regional countries, and the elimination differences between them will lead to regional transformation.
Kharazi believed: “Talking about a Middle East NATO is a superficial idea, and Saudi Arabia has confirmed that it is not on the table, and Israel is in a phase of weakness, and Biden’s support for it will not return it to the fore, noting that “targeting our security from neighboring countries will be met with a response to these countries.
He stated: “We have carried out extensive maneuvers to strike Israeli depths in the event that our sensitive installations are attacked, and there are no American guarantees regarding the preservation of the nuclear agreement, and this traps any possible agreement.”
He added: “If the International Atomic Energy Agency were fair and independent, it would be easy to resolve differences, and the only solution to regional crises is the formation of a regional dialogue complex to resolve differences in politics and security.”
Kharazi called for “starting a regional dialogue in the presence of important countries such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar and others”, stressing that “we are not negotiating with anyone about our missile program and our regional policy, because this means capitulation . “
He added: “In light of the thick wall of distrust and American policy, it is difficult to engage in direct dialogue with Washington,” noting that “it’s no secret that we have the technical capability to produce a nuclear bomb, but we don’t have the decision to do so.”
