Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh stressed that “the continuation of Israeli aggression, whether in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Gaza Strip, Jenin and other Palestinian cities and villages, is a violation of all red lines, and represents an attempt by Israel to push the situation to escalate and creating an atmosphere of tension.” He called on the international community, especially the US administration, to “intervene immediately to stop this Israeli aggression before it’s too late.”

Abu Rudeineh indicated that “President Mahmoud Abbas continues his efforts with regional and international bodies to stop this Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people and their Islamic and Christian holy places”, noting that “the UN Security Council, which will hold a special session to discuss war in the Gaza Strip, should He fulfill his duties and stop this aggression.”
