The Sudoeste Festival will return in the next edition to the Herdade da Casa Branca, in Zambujeira do Mar (Odemira), between August 9 and 12, a week later than usual, the organization announced on Saturday.
“The dates for the 25th edition are already set: from August 9 to 12, 2023, with the opening of the camp on August 5,” he said in a statement.
On the last day of the 2022 edition, after the return “awaited for more than three years”, the organizers of the Southwest explained that “it is time to prepare another celebration, in 2023, which marks 25 editions of the most iconic summer festival ” . of thousands of young Portuguese, and not only”.
With the new dates from August 9 to 12, “in 2023 the festival will be held a week later than usual, so as not to coincide with World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023,” reads the same note.
For those interested, the organization of the festival has already put on sale “a special edition of the subscription for every day of 25 Meo Sudoeste”, with a 25% discount, until October 25, in the usual places.
The concerts of the four stages of the Sudoeste Festival, in Zambujeira do Mar, end on the last day with Rex Orange County and Bispo, after having performed Maurice West, Liam Cole, Chá de Funk, 9Miller, Shouse, Aragão, Ivandro, Os Intencionais , Sippinpurpp, and Ckay.
On the fourth day, the final presentation of “Creadores de Tik Tok Show” was also held, a dance show, with artistic direction by Cifrão, which brought together the Portuguese ‘TikTokers’.
Since Wednesday, according to the organization, the festival mobilized “about 25,000 people per day”, on its return to the Herdade da Casa Branca, in Zambujeira do Mar, in the municipality of Odemira, after two years of waiting. due to the covid-19 pandemic.
This year, the festival featured musicians and DJs such as Pedro Sampaio, Melim and Jovem Dionísio, from Brazil, Morat, from Colombia, Morad, a ‘rapper’ from Madrid, as well as Chico da Tina, ProfJam, Calema, Steve Aoki, Estraca and Melim, about fifty protagonists from so many other concerts enter.
Scotsman Lewis Capaldi canceled the concert within minutes of taking the stage. According to the promoter, he “felt bad” on the way to the festival and was replaced by the Portuguese Karetus.
