The President of the UN Security Council has made Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jun responsible for rebuilding what was destroyed by his air strikes on Gaza, as it is the occupying power.

In response to journalists’ questions about the possibility of holding Israel responsible for rebuilding what was destroyed by its raids in the Gaza Strip, Chon, whose country presides over the Security Council this month, said: “It is very important to maintain the stability of the situation in Gaza and prevent any escalation of tension.”

He added: “Of course, Israel, as the occupying power, bears full responsibility for the situation there.”

He added: “But in the long term, and for the international community, our concern is that we need to take a comprehensive look at the situation and find a fair and sustainable solution based on the principle of a two-state solution (Palestinian and Israeli). )”.

He warned that in the absence of this decision, “the situation will return to what it was over the past few days.”
