A possible battle between Trump and Biden… and this is what the latter is planning

US President Joe Biden plans to launch his re-election campaign after November’s congressional midterm elections, which could lead to a possible rematch with former US President Donald Trump in 2024, according to Bloomberg.

Those close to Biden report that he is buoyed by recent legislative, economic and foreign policy victories and is once again committed to rejecting Trump’s return to the Oval Office.

FBI agents were looking for documents related to nuclear weapons when they searched former President Trump’s Florida home this week, the Washington Post reported Thursday.

The newspaper added that it was not clear whether they had found the documents or not.

US Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Thursday that he had “personally” approved a search warrant for former President Trump’s Florida home, insisting there was “probable cause” for the unprecedented action.

Since his term ended, Trump has remained the most divisive figure, although he remains popular in the Republican Party and insists on winning the 2020 election.

On Wednesday, Trump appeared before New York Attorney General Leticia James, who in 2019 opened a civil investigation into him, his daughter Ivanka and his son Donald Jr.

Trump remained silent during the meeting, which was held due to suspected financial fraud in his business group.

Trump insisted he had “no choice” but to invoke the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution, which allows evidence that would lead to his conviction to be withheld.

He said in a statement: “I refused to answer the questions, in accordance with the rights and powers that the Constitution of the United States has granted to every American citizen.”

Media reports indicate that Trump exercised his right not to answer questions more than 400 times during the hearing.

A civil investigation was launched against the Trump family group following the incriminating testimony of Michael Cohen, one of Trump’s personal lawyers, in Congress. Insurance Companies . .

Trump has been under scrutiny for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results and his suspected involvement in the attack on the Capitol in January 2021.

More than 850 people were arrested, including 330 who pleaded guilty to rioting at the US Capitol after Trump’s fiery speech in which he insisted the victory had been stolen from him.

The House of Representatives set up a mechanism to impeach the 76-year-old Trump after the events in Congress, but the Senate acquitted him after several Republicans supported his conviction.

A special parliamentary committee is scheduled to report to Congress this fall on the findings of the investigation.
