war map. What is known about the 170th day of the conflict

It has been 170 days since Russia advanced on Ukrainian soil in the early hours of February 24. The situation at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant remains a hot topic this Friday after the recent attacks this week, in which Russia and Ukraine exchanged accusations.

Ukraine’s state nuclear regulator Energoatom warned that the facility “operates with the risk of violating fire and radiation safety regulations.” It states that the bombing of the plant by Russian forces represents “a serious risk to the safe operation”. The remarks come after the emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, which took place on Thursday at the request of Russia.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has already spoken out on the situation at the Zaporizhia compound, debunking UN fears of a nuclear accident and leaving a veiled threat to the West. “What can I say? Let’s not forget that the European Union also has nuclear power plants. Accidents can happen there too,” he said.

This Friday, the British Ministry of Defense announced in the daily report that eight Russian fighter planes will have been destroyed after the explosion at a Russian military base in Crimea, whose origin has yet to be determined. According to UK intelligence data, five Su-24 bombers and three Su-30 multirole fighter jets were destroyed. Forbes also says that the plane would have an estimated value between 650 and 850 million euros, together.
