Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky at Potochka Palace in Lviv, Western Ukraine.

Earlier, the Turkish President arrived in Ukrainian Lviv in preparation for Zelensky’s trilateral meeting with UN Secretary General António Guterres.

Erdogan traveled overland from Poland to Lvov in western Ukraine.

According to the Office of Communications under the President of Turkey, “all aspects of the strategic relationship between Turkey and Ukraine at the level of strategic partnership will be assessed during President Erdogan’s meetings with his Ukrainian counterpart.”

The meeting between the presidents of Turkey and Ukraine will be followed by another meeting between Zelensky and Guterres, and then a joint press conference.

Steps that can be taken to end the Ukrainian-Russian war through diplomacy will also be discussed, as well as a discussion of the activation of the mechanism created for the export of Ukrainian grain to world markets.
