Citing a senior Israeli intelligence official, Hebrew news outlet Ynet has expressed concerns from Israeli officials that the United States will not be able to sign a nuclear deal with Iran that will be “worse” than the 2015 deal under the Obama administration.
He added that Iran has “suddenly” renewed interest in a deal, but that it is unlikely to happen quickly.
“Iranians are not very quick to work. I hope the situation will turn around,” he said. “If they make a deal, we will try to maximize the successes. [for Israel] under the agreement.
While praising former President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the deal in 2018, he said the new deal could be worse for Israel.
“We end up with a worse deal,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Walla news site said US officials have been trying to reassure Israel in recent days that a new deal is not “inevitable” and will not accept new concessions with Tehran.
However, the report stated that the assurances did not relieve Jerusalem.
“We may be closer to a deal than we were two weeks ago, but there is still uncertainty about a solution and differences with the Iranians remain,” an unnamed US official told the site. “In any case, the signing of a nuclear deal is not expected in the near future.”
The website says talks between Jerusalem and Washington have become “tense” in recent days.

“We are restless,” one of the officers said. On the contrary, we are very worried.
There are several reports that the two sides are nearing an agreement and that Iran has agreed to withdraw its request to remove the Islamic Revolutionary Guards from the list of foreign terrorist organizations.
