A United Nations report says that from 2009 until the end of last August, Israel destroyed about 9,000 Palestinian buildings and evicted thousands of Palestinians.

A report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, OCHA, states that Israeli forces destroyed 8,746 Palestinian buildings, displacing some 13,000 Palestinians and injuring an estimated 152,000 others.

He indicated that about 1,559 houses and other buildings associated with services or part of the infrastructure were also damaged as a result of the demolition, noting that “this figure includes buildings that were directly demolished by the Israeli authorities or their owners were forced to do so. .”

The Palestinian Authority has repeatedly called on the international community to take practical steps to stop Israeli settlements and the erosion of Palestinian land, and to defend the two-state solution.

The demolition policy has been an old Israeli methodology since the establishment of the occupying state in 1948. Since the time of the Nakba, the Israeli authorities have destroyed more than 500 Palestinian villages and cities.
