“Russia is making increasingly desperate choices, continuing its unprovoked war against Ukraine, especially in the face of our unprecedented sanctions and export controls,” said Brian E. Nelson, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Counterterrorism and Financial Intelligence.
“The United States is determined to strictly enforce our sanctions against Russia and Iran and to retain those who support Iran and Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine,” he said.
“We will also not hesitate to attack manufacturers and suppliers that contribute to Iran’s drone program and IRGC, and we will once again demonstrate our determination to continue to follow the terrorist proxies that are wreaking havoc in the Middle East,” Nelson said.
