According to the same source, the accused were arrested and presented to the judicial authorities.

A security official at the time revealed that the number of people involved was five, four of whom were citizens and the fifth a displaced person, without being identified.
Also in May, security officials in the kingdom seized a large shipment of narcotic pills hidden inside fake plastic beads.
The official spokesman of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics in Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Al-Najidi, said at the time that the security pursuits foiled the attempt to smuggle 403,000 amphetamine tablets.
He added: This amount was seized in the possession of a Syrian resident and a citizen in Jeddah, inside a shipment of beans in plastic molds in the shape of beans.
In August 2022, Saudi Arabia announced that it had seized nearly 47 million amphetamine tablets, in what was “the largest single smuggling attempt” for the drug, which authorities have spent years trying to smuggle and distribute in the country. This country has tried. .
