According to local authorities, the man identified as Rúben Saraiva, in collusion with five other people — three men and one woman of British nationality and one Albanian man —, was the perpetrator of the shots against Ardian Nikulaj, shot in the bar that belonged to the Albanian businessman himself. Saraiva will have been arrested in the past for possession of a weapon without a license, smuggling and falsification of documents. In addition to Rúben, according to Klan TV, arrest warrants have been issued for Harry Simson, Thomas Mithan, Steven Hunt, Edmond Haxhia and Harriet Bridgeman.

The man authorities believe to be Rúben Saraiva entered the café wearing a motorcycle helmet, surgical mask and reflective vest.
Albanian police chief Muhamet Rrumbullaku told reporters on Wednesday that “a special investigative group has been created with the aim of documenting and identifying the perpetrator of the crime.”
