Two people were injured in Russian attacks on kyiv overnight
Ukrainian forces report that the capital, kyiv, came under several attempted airstrikes overnight. Four cruise missiles were shot down.
The kyiv military administration confirmed, however, that two people were injured and that 10 buildings were damaged. The attacks did not affect “critical or residential infrastructure.”
“Cruise missiles were fired by five strategic aircraft from the airspace of the Russian Federation in the Engels region,” the kyiv military administration said.
At 5am an air raid warning was issued across the country.

Russia deploys “elite troops” to Zaporizhia to stop Ukrainian advances
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW), an American think tank, says Russia is sending some of its elite troops to the Zaporizhia region, where Ukraine has claimed to have made progress.
The institution informs, according to Sky News, that the Russian forces have mobilized part of the 76th Air Assault Division towards the Robotyne area from Kremmina, in the western part of Zaporizia.
Ukrainian forces have been advancing in recent days on Robotyne, but are facing what “may be the most challenging series of prepared Russian defensive positions.”
