The Russian military says it destroyed five Ukrainian unmanned vessels that were trying to attack a Russian patrol boat. Zelensky plans to attend the UN general assembly in the United States.
The 567th day of war in Ukraine was marked by the declaration of the Russian army, which allegedly destroyed five Ukrainian unmanned ships that were trying to attack a Russian patrol boat. The ships were destroyed by “ship’s conventional weapons” in the early hours of Thursday in the Black Sea.
During the afternoon, the Ukrainian president said that he plans to be present at the United Nations (UN) general assembly, which will take place next week in New York. Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to meet with Joe Biden.
In the early afternoon, Ukrainian authorities ordered the evacuation of civilians from the southern Kherson region, partially controlled by Russian forces. “The Kherson Regional Defense Council decided that families with children must be compulsorily expelled from areas that are constantly under enemy fire,” Governor Oleksandr Prokudin wrote on his social networks.
